About the FA

The Faculty Association (FA) represents tenure-track and tenured faculty in collective bargaining with the SIUC administration.

The FA was organized on the Carbondale campus in the late 1980s and won the right to represent tenured and tenure-track faculty in collective bargaining in an election in November 1996. We are affiliated with the Illinois Education Association (IEA) and the National Education Association (NEA).
