FA News (2/7/2018): Grievances and job security

Dear colleagues,
The newest FA newsletter is attached: FA News Feb 7
It includes two items that are time sensitive: a reminder of this Friday’s deadline to vote to extend the deliberation period under Article 9, and an invitation to join a new grievance regarding Article 9. Also included are some remarks on a new argument in favor of reorganization, the argument that the revised organization will protect faculty jobs.
I will be attending and speaking at the BOT meetings in Edwardsville today and tomorrow, and will post some updates on the meetings on Facebook.
